Alicia Burke is on a roll. The Pulse model beauty recently landed her second advertising campaign for Ralph Lauren, lensed by go-to fashion elite photog Steven Meisel, which is now appearing in black-and-white fabulousness in choice industry publications. As if that weren’t enough (let’s not forget that Italian Vogue cover last November, also shot by Meisel, and recent international catwalk appearances for Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Chloé, Diesel Black Gold, Gucci, Temperley, Oscar de la Renta, to list just a handful), Burke is serving serious face in an exclusive fashion editorial, ‘Santeria’, that debuted on the highly regarded online portal last week. Photographed by Mariano Vivanco, Burke appears alongside fellow ‘it’ black models Ajak Deng, Achok Majak, Duckie Thot, and Saul Rodriguez in the fashion story imagined by Cuban-American stylist Jimi Urquiaga to invoke the Afro-Cuban religion and give focus to the new season’s latest high-end white looks.

AWF takes you in front of Vivanco’s camera to spotlight Burke’s stunning results.
